About Us
BBHA is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization formed in the great state of Nevada by a group of local hunters. BBHA believes in the importance of being involved with our youth community. BBHA’s mission is to help make a difference for undeserved youth that may not have the parent or the means to afford any hunting experience. BBHA will use hunting and other outdoor activities as a way to give back and make a difference in our youth community. Our programs are for undeserved youth populations that want to experience and learn about hunting and the outdoors.
As part of our activities for youth hunters, we will organize day camps to teach and mentor youth hunters about our great outdoors and hunting. These activities and day camps will be carried out by our directors and members. By offering educational day camps, we will be educating the public on useful and knowledgeable subjects that in return will be beneficial for the community.
At times and at the discretion of the directors, BBHA may provide opportunities for volunteer’s involvement with our activities. One of the many activities may be guest speaking or demonstrations at our day camps. Education on relatable topics may include outdoor survival skills, fishing, camping, hunter safety, archery and field dressing. Our activities and day camps are free and volunteers will not be compensated.
BBHA has the great opportunity to bring S.A.F.E. Archery to the local community, it is great for all ages and skill levels. The archery shoot features soft foam tip arrows that glide as smooth as regular arrows. The archery shoot has a Hoverball Archery Target. The Archery Safe Shoot can be set up anywhere, outdoors or indoors. BBHA sees this as a great way to get the youth involved in archery, hunting and to provide a safe and fun activity for everyone to enjoy. BBHA plans to set up the S.A.F.E. Archery shoot at local shopping centers, sporting goods stores and to share this experience with the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts Troops in our community.
BBHA’s MDU (mobile display unit) is a 24-foot enclosed trailer that showcases a wide variety of hides ranging from mule deer, to antelope, mountain goat, bighorn sheep, mountain lion, bobcat, and moose. The MDU is an experience on wheels for all to enjoy. The MDU provides BBHA with the ability to transport supplies, animals, off road vehicles, The S.A.F.E. Archery shoot and items needed to support BBHA’s events.
BBHA will hold their annual Battle Born Big Four Award Banquet Fundraising Dinner once a year. This event will consist of awarding the largest racks of the hunting season: Buck, Bull, Big Horn Sheep and Antelope. There will also be raffles, The S.A.F.E. Archery Shoot, dinner and guest speakers. BBHA will seek sponsorships and donations for the event. Generous donors are the key to our success and make it possible for BBHA to provide youth hunters and their families with assistance and resources they need. Donations are needed to help provide our youth hunters with hunting and fishing education and gear. Most of all donations and sponsorships will provide youth hunters of Nevada the opportunity to experience and learn respect of the great outdoors.
We will take advantage of social media for networking. We will post information about all upcoming events. Printed marketing materials consisting of flyers, postcards and posters will be mailed and displayed in local businesses. We will record our activity and events on our website as well as on social media.
